Answering the Call to Serve Unmet Needs
A hallmark of the Sisters of Charity of St. Augustine (CSA), the founding congregation of the Sisters of Charity Health System, is their capacity to appropriately respond to emerging community needs.
With a unique blend of ministry, service and philanthropy, the Sisters of Charity Health System continues to carry forward the mission of its founding Sisters—championing equity, advancing wellness and creating pathways for healthier, more vibrant communities.
The Sisters of Charity Health System lives out this mission by serving the unmet needs of hundreds of thousands of children and families in Northeast Ohio and South Carolina. This happens through numerous health and human service outreach organizations, as well as direct services in health, housing, education and grantmaking foundations with significant community initiatives that address root causes of poverty.
At all levels and across a range of service areas, we are a trusted resource for those in need of physical, psychological or spiritual wholeness.
